We gathered glass bottles from the recycling stations around the park and brought them back to our studio to the glass crusher/cement mixer with big rocks in it. This crushed glass was then used as aggregate in the concrete matrix and the finished piece was ground to expose the glass as well as a brief blurb describing the source of the countertop ingredients. Next time you’re visiting Yellowstone take a peek inside the Mammoth hotel and keep an eye out for other recycled concrete projects popping up around the park as well.

Jerrad,
I was at the house to check and work on things these past few days and I cannot tell you how much your counter tops have done for the place. They are one of the best decisions we made and I am so happy to have these pieces of “artwork” in my home. You are an artist for sure, and I know your work is creating quite a buzz over at YT.
Everything is just beautiful and your “stripe” that you talked me into under the master tub is perfect. Thank you again for all of your inspiration and care with our new home.

In this bio, Jerrad Inlow will refer to himself in the third person. That way, he can write about his life as an endlessly important artist, his countless and adventurous travels to exotic locales and his award-winning works, all without coming across as a shameless bragger.

Because it will appear as if someone else wrote this about him, as if Jerrad was most certainly important enough so other people write about his life and operations.

He will furthermore refer to his home as ’studio’, and to his beloved wife as ’studio manager’. Who will ever know?

He will also be sure to mention his apprenticeship with superlative artisans and his professional beginnings in New York City, as well as his trilingualism. Then he’ll casually throw in his years living abroad and, of course, his artist-obligatory stays in countless world class ski resorts scattered across the globe, which will round up his hemingwayesque artists’ resume.

After that, he might ramble on for six paragraphs about his deeply philosophical approach to his craft, his always intimate relationship with the subject, his unique and complex understandings of form and function, as well as his transcendent ability to connect with the elements of his medium beyond the limits of ordinary experience. He will continue to do so until the readers’ attention has wandered well beyond the point of turning into a blurry haze.

Jerrad is currently working on some new and capricious personality features, to be exhibited in the very near future. Previously described by clients and designers alike as friendly, easygoing and laid back, such attributes are proving no longer suitable for an artist of Jerrad’s magnitude. Fresh behavioral routines of unique eccentricity and difficult behavior are in the final stages of rehearsal before being premiered.

Naturally, Jerrad does not merely live in Bozeman, but “currently divides his time between homes” in Montana and every city and country he has ever lived in.

-Cheers!

For their hometown store, Under Armor wanted their customers to feel like they were walking through a stadium tunnel on game day. Custom 4′ x 8′ concrete panels were used to create this unique storefront design.

Every time I enter my new kitchen I cannot bill help think of you and the extraordinary job you did for Dot and I. Rarely, if ever, have I been so impressed with work done for me.
Dear Jerrad:

Every time I enter my new kitchen I cannot bill help think of you and the extraordinary job you did for Dot and I. Rarely, if ever, have I been so impressed with work done for me. Your creativity, attention to detail, demand for excellence, responsiveness to my needs, friendliness, your availability to discuss ideas and accept my input, and, most particularly, the stellar quality of your finished work and the pride you take in it are all well beyond today’s accepted professional standards. The custom backsplash you worked so hard and carefully to create and to lay-out perfectly in your shop, added the final perfect touch to the job. You are to be congratulated, praised and profusely and deeply thanked for adding such wonderful touches to our kitchen.

You may recall that, when I first called you, I stated that I was looking for a concrete countertop that looked like it was from a 300-400 year-old Italian or French home. Never did I imagine that the finished product would be so nice and would blend so perfectly with the overall look I was trying to create.

In addition to all of the above, the real bonus was being able lo meet and work with a real gentleman and a very good person.

And so Dot and I thank you now, and will continue to do so for many, many years to come as we enjoy, and enjoy with others, our new kitchen and its beautiful countertops and backsplash.

Very truly yours,

Robert A

To that end the organization has worked diligently over the years to advance public awareness of the decorative arts through marketing efforts, continuing education, peer recognition and professional development for designers.

In 2007, the Western Design Conference was acquired by Powder Mountain Press, LLC, publisher of Teton Home and Living magazine. We continue our mission to help nurture the evolution of design in the American West.

The 2010 Western Design Conference promises to attract even more ardent supporters as part of the Fall Arts Festival, a celebration of the arts in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
