When Yellowstone National Park contacted us about making some recycled concrete countertops for Mammoth hotel I thought to myself, what a great opportunity to save $25 on my entrance fee and get into the park for free!  Ha, actually is was a great opportunity to show off the greener side of concrete at one of our country’s greatest national parks.  For this project they wanted to use materials that were recycled from the park itself and in the process educate their guests about the some of the possibilities of recycling.

That’s right, one of our more recent additions to our line of exclusive finishes is actual metal plated concrete.  These finishes are currently available in copper, bronze, and zinc, the copper and bronze are both living finishes meaning they can patina beautifully over time while the silvery zinc is more stable and less prone to color changes.  Keep an eye out for more projects coming up featuring these unique finishes, meanwhile start brainstorming where you can use some of our concreteness in your home or business.  Here are a few ideas to get the ball rolling – countertops, sinks, soaking tubs, wall veneers, floor and wall tiles, shower surrounds, stair treads, retail displays, shelves, and countless other furnishings.
